Alexei Yelin, Head of Territorial Development Planning Department of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, proposed to discuss principal directions of all-Russian macro regional agenda at the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum. He stated this at the KEF-2020 Expert Board meeting.
As of now the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation is drafting Development Strategies of 12 macro regions (including Angara-Yenisei one). These documents must contain several interregional projects and programs such as the Yenisei Siberia Comprehensive Investment Project. In particular, this is a part of large-scale Spatial Development Strategy up to 2025 which is aimed at elimination of several infrastructural limitations and reducing the gap in development between Russian territories.
''The Krasnoyarsk Territory was among the first to formulate the Russian macro regional agenda. We have already created some approaches to macro regional strategy development, and you may be one and only who has been consistently implementing them for the last two years. Therefore, I invite you to schedule a session with representatives of certain constituent entities of the Russian Federation (i.e., the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Irkutsk Region, the Republics of Khakassia and Tyva) to discuss objectives of the strategy based on the Comprehensive Investment Project at the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum" - said Alexey Yelin. Moreover, he mentioned that the Ministry has been tasked with preparation of suggestions for advanced development of Angara-Yenisei macro region.
As we already mentioned the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum titled Development Projects - Energy of Growth will take place in the capital city of the Krasnoyarsk territory on 19-21March 2020. New measures of providing state support for undertakings of the Yenisei Siberia Comprehensive Investment Project and for fulfilment of investment potential of the Angara-Yenisei cluster will be drawn up in the frame of the forum. Apart from that, KEF-2020 participants will discuss a future dedicated decree of the President of the Russian Federation that is going to approve several decisions on the Angara-Yenisei macro region development strategy and formulation of appropriate federal state-run program.
